Meet Our Command Staff Member LT. Frankie Hammonds

Picture of Lieutenant Frankie HammondsLieutenant Frankie Hammonds began his career with the St. Augustine Beach Police Department in 2003 where he served as patrolman for 12 years. In 2015 he was promoted to Corporal and served in that position for one year. In 2016 he was promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant where he spent the next five years supervising the daily activities of a patrol shift. In 2021 he was promoted to the rank of Patrol Operations Lieutenant where he oversees all patrol activities, agency training, special events, and internal affairs.

During his tenure with the St. Augustine Beach Police Department, Lieutenant Hammonds has represented the agency as a member numerous specialty teams including, Tactical Flight Officer (TFO) with the St. Johns County Sheriffs Office Aviation Unit, Special Response Team (SRT) with the St. Augustine Police Department, Field Training Officer (FTO), and Honor Guard Team.

Lieutenant Hammonds has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration from Flagler College. He is a graduate from the Florida Leadership Academy and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Florida Executive Development Seminar.
