Applications
The St. Augustine Beach Police Department is always accepting applications for employment. Completed applications can be submitted during business hours, Monday through Friday, at the department’s front office.
Why Join SABPD?
Sworn members will initially be assigned to Patrol but will have the opportunity after probation to apply for a position in Investigations, K9, Crime Prevention, or Full-time Beach Patrol.
Members may also choose additional duties such as Bike Patrol, Beach Patrol, Honor Guard, and Evidence Specialist and may also join the county unified specialized teams (SWAT, Special Response Team, Dive Team, and Tactical Flight Officer).
All sworn members will receive numerous advanced training opportunities with some of the most prestigious law enforcement training programs in the United States. Additionally, our officers train together in-house, as an agency, six times per year in areas such as the use of force response, tactical vehicle operations, firearms, defensive tactics, and other highly specialized training.
